Historie
Moddergat's oldest surviving house - Oere 10 - dates from 1684. Originally built as a farmhouse, from 1750 it has been a fisherman's house. This cottage was restored in 2015. The cottage was named "The Vrouw Trijntje", after the name of the fishing ship that sank in 1883. The captain of the ship and his wife Trijntje lived here.
